Communities

Communities are at the heart of what we do here at The Chapel.

As a church we want to devote ourselves to the same things the early followers of Jesus did. In Acts 2:42 we see that the followers of Jesus “Devoted themselves to the Apostle’s teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.” In other words, they devoted themselves to the Bible, to each other, to communion, and to prayer. Our Communities are devoted to these things.

Here’s what you can expect at our Communities:

  • 8 - 20 people who will gather weekly in a Community member’s home

  • Each week you will share a meal

  • Each week there will be time to walk through the sermon from the previous Sunday, to pray with one another, to confess sin to one another, and to take communion together

Community Basics

The first step towards joining a Community at The Chapel is to take our Community Basics class. It’s a two week long class that explains the purpose of our Communities in greater depth, and it will be a space where you can meet some of our Community leaders so you can get to know people in these Communities before you join one. Additionally, this class is a great place to ask questions as you consider joining a Community!

Our next onboarding classes will be Sunday, November 3 and November 10. Please see the link to sign up!
